More from Tintern

I have finished working on the Tintern Abey photos and I still have more to post - hope you like them o far - please feel free to make a comment

Tintern Abbey photos

Just a few from Tintern - It's taking me a while to get these done becaues I have to work on them at my parents house - and I'm only there for a few hours a day and don't really want to spend all the time sitting at the iMac (I'd rather be playing with the dog) - however made a start on them (there are over 100) and will probably post a few more later- no news on when I'll be able to work at home though the laptop seems to be gone - though I can retrieve all my files from the hard drive
Any way enough waffle for now enjoy the pix

Lone Sunflower

Probably the last flower of the Summer - bring on the colours of Autumn

St Luke's Abercarn

Here are some of the photos from St Luke's - this post is a bit of an experiment as it is the first time I have used the iMac for processing photos- it's not too difficult but when you are used to Windows locating things can take a bitt of getting used to.
Anyway at least I'm back

Laptop issues

Well I now know that my laptop is stuck in sleep mode (I wish I was) so it's gonna be a while before I can do any photo work at my house - however, all is not lost as my parents iMac is ready and waiting for me use.
So tonight I will be transfering all new images to the iMac, adding the processing packages and voila! - New images I will be able to share with you all tonight - and iMac has some great editing effects like edge fade and antique effect. So I am really looking forward to having a play this evening after lunch at the Harvester with the guys from work - no photos as I forgot to put my digi compact back in my bag.

So until tonight

Au revoir

Giving in to the temptation..

Of using my parents mac to work on my photos.
Tomorrow I will put my processing package on the mac and do some work on them - I have so many - now Severn Bridge, Beachley, Tintern Abbey, Sunflower and today I went to an abandoned church a little way up the valley - at least his way I can get them on to my external hard drive and also share them with you.
I've not really used the mac before for photos so it will be interesting

Tintern Abbey

Yesterday was such a lovely day that I couldn't bear the thought of staying in and not taking any photos - so off to Tintern Abbey for the afternoon - it was very busy as admission was free (normally £3.60 for adults) - but it was lovely walking round the abbey and I spent 40 minutes or so taking photos - some obviously with people in them. It felt very peaceful walking around the ruined abbey even though there were lots of people about - all enjoying the sunshine - only once was I annoyed during the visit - and that was when a boy of about 8 took to dancing around on one of the gravestones in the abbey - and to top it all he was yelling about it - his mother did tell him to stop but didn't explain why it was wrong - that left me very disturbed - parents don't seem to teach their children respect these days. But that was the only real bad point - all the other kids were running about enjoing the day - probably much like I did when I visited there as a child.

The on to Beachley to continue the Severn Bridge odyssy - so far I have taken photos of the bridge from the air, from Aust near Bristol, and also now from Beachley, where the old ferry used to dock - I also have walked across the bridge (on bank holiday monday) so I have pretty much got the old bridge covered unless they start running ferries across the river again.

So lots of photos to sort, edit, and post on here - as soon as I have access to my laptop again I will do that - so soon I hope there will be a barrage of photos.

And being off for 5 days at the end of this week I am sure I will be taking more

A forced break from photos on the blog

I sadly have to take a (forced) break from posting photos due to the fact my laptop is on the fritz, it's very annoying as I can't access the internet, work on my photos or anything - so very annoying - I am hoping to get it sorted asap - but if I need to get a new pc it will take a while as I have absolutely no spare funds at the mo.
At the moment I am blogging from my office and this is hard as calls keep coming in so I have to concentrate on those.

update - a friend of mine said her partner can look at it - so fingers crossed it will be up and running

Here Be Dragons..... pt 2

I caught these two dragons just lurking around the corner from my office - they've been hanging out there for a while now, but it's taken me a while to get them - mainly because I never go that way - anyway today I'm off out to lunch in Newport after work, so I'm going to see if I can catch anymore

UPDATE: The blue and green dragon above has been dragonnapped and is reportedly being held in Maindee, hopefuly he will be liberated from his captors and returned to his plinth before too long
