Another year comes to an end

And I know this year has been fairly quiet on hte photography front, but I am determined that next year that will change and there will be lots of new images for you to enjoy.
I have a few ideas in the pipeline which will hopefully mean next year I will be able to spend more time out taking photos.
It's something I really have missed this year.

Anyway Happy New Year everyone.

And keep checking back for new photos shortly

Walk along the canal

Today I went for a walk along the canal and it's strange but it was the first time I've done that this year.
Well it was a beautiful sunny afternoon so thought why not - anyway it was lovely to be out wit h the camera again, even though it did start to shower and I got rather wet - oh and it was very cold as well - but well worth it.

Robin

The little robin was quite happy to sit there for a bit while I got some shots of him

Was nice to see this little squirrel pottering about and he obliged by staying still long enough for me to get this shot.

Hope it's nice next weekend so I can go out again.

St Fagan's pt 2

Here a re a few more from my trip to St Fagan's. I know I haven't posted anything new lately but I will be posting some later from todays walk along the canal

Ile de Batz

The Ile de Batz is a 15 minute boat ride from the Port town of Roscoff - the island has only 507 inhabitants. It is a beautiful place to visit and the day we went although starting out slightly overcast and rainy turned out fine

Still nothing new I'm affraid

I still have no internet at my new home at the moment. I am waiting for the lovely people at Sky to sort it out- hopefully that will be in the next 2 weeks or so - I still haven't finished working on the photos from my holiday in France because I still haven't set up my pc - however that problem is about to be rectified - so I am hoping to get back to my photography very soon - and hope I will be able to post new photos here soon.
Thanks for you patience and understanding.

All Quiet on the blogging front...

Because I am in the process of moving - so although I have photos to work on and share with you I won't be posting again for a while as I need to get my internet up and running in the new house - I'm hoping I will be back within the week - but that is all down to Sky and how quickly they can get me up and running - fingers crossed it won't be too long

Chateau de Kerjean

I know I haven't posted for a while, but things have been pretty hectic around here. what with training for a new job and being in the process of decorating and moving to a new house.
But just so you know I haven't forgotten you here are a few photos from Chateau de Kerjean in France

More Morlaix

Had a over exposed shot so played about with the brightness and contrast and came up with the image below

I really like this effect and although it's not something I would do a lot I think it works with the subject matter in this photos.

What do you think?

Bay of Morlaix

Well after visiting the town of Morlaix it was time to head for the seaside and how about the aptly named Bay of Morlaix - the different blues in the sea were amazing and you really had to be there. I could have happily stayed there forever, but it was not to be as we didn't win the lottery.

This was one of my favorite place that we visited and would love to go there again it was so beautiful.

Morlaix

One of the places we wanted to visit was the town of Morlaix - not too far from where we were staying. The town is full of what are known as 'Lantern Houses' as the shape of them resembles a lantern. In the evening all the lights go on around the town, lighting up the viaduct and old square

France - Brest

Mini Sub

Well while on holiday we went to the city of Brest, Brest was badly bombed during the war so much of the city is modern, and I didn't take any photos in the centre itself - however we did find the Chateau du Brest.
The Chateau contains a maritime museum and it was very interesting walking around the old building.

View of the harbour

Tower

There was a room filled with these sculptures but this was my favorite.

Plouescat

Spire

Church and Market

Cross

War Memorial

Well I know things have been a bit lax on here but you know, sometimes life gets ini way and that has been the case here. Things have been happening, some good, some bad and some photographic.
Any way here are a few more from the French Holiday - there are lots more for me to work one and hopefully now I am back in the zone and will soon get them up here for you to see.

Am also hoping to get out and take some more photos soon.

Oh and I now have Photoshop Elements 9 - of course I have to figure out how to use it - and I'm sure I will.... Eventually.

Roscoff

The day after we arrived we went into to Roscoff for a walk around but as you can see the tide was out - oh well never mind - we had little wander and found this pirate fellow outside the tourist information

Ok so he's not Johnny Depp, but you can't have everything

The churches in this area of Brittany all had these really ornate spires and we saw lots of them on our travels.

Don't worry the photos got better as the week went on.
