More from Looe

As we were based at the Looe Bay Holiday Park I obviously too quite a few pictures of the town.

Looe is split into two sections by the River Looe - the majority of the photos I took are of East Looe,  and in fact all the of the photos I have so far posted are either of the river, or of East Looe and the beach. I did take a few photos of West Looe, and they will be posted later

For more detailed on the history of Looe and where to go and what to do when you visit, please go to the Looe website by clicking HERE

I loved Looe when were were staying and we visited almost every day - except for on Tuesday, when we spent the evening in as we were soaked from the torrential rain, however we did have a great day out at The Eden Project and that will be the subject of my next few posts.

Travels has been travelling

Well I hope you have been enjoying the posts this week, and the good news is I have just got back from a 5 day break in Cornwall - so there will be lots of new photos coming your way in the next week or so - Look out for:

Tintagel, Polperro, Looe, Charlestown, Carlyon Bay, Boscastle and more - now I'm off to go get the photos ready for you!!!

Travels at Tintagel

The last of the St Sannan's photos

'Phew!' I hear you sigh, now more grave shots - at least for now anyway. So enjoy these and believe me I will be posting lots of new and different locations in the next day or so when I have finished working on them!

 Another Cross

 Silhouetted Cross

 Path of the Dead.

We always try not to walk on the graves when exploring a cemetery, out of respect for the dead, but then you come across a path that is made of graves and these are some of the oldest ones, and you have no choice but to walk over them.
It makes me think, you know when you get a shiver down your spine and you say 'Someone just walked over my grave'? Well I always thought - what if someone is - in the future and I can feel it in the now?

Either that or I have been watching too much Doctor Who!

Back to St Sannan's

Well it was the same visit but thought I would post some more grave photos. I promise only one more post of graves after this one and I will move on to something more cheerful instead - at least for a while. One of the things I want to do is visit as many cemeteries as I can in the area to see what the different monuments are like, and if you look at these you will see how different they can be

 Column

 The Rook

This one caught my eye as it reminded me of a Chess piece, and I wanted to get closer to it so I could see the shape properly, but in order to do that I had to navigate the sunken grave below:

This grave appeared to have sunk about 4 feet, and I really did not want to end up in it! The problem in this cemetery is that in places it is so overgrown that you cannot see how sunken a grave is - or even if there is a grave under your feet!

Another Angel

Cwmcarn Forest Drive on a Sunny Bank Holiday

Well Bank Holiday Monday was a lovely day, so a quick trip to the Cwmcarn Forest Drive, didn't take too many photos as was enjoying the sunshine too much - anyway here are 3 I did take
